Lam family is one of the most venerable, respected and well know gung fu families in the world. Known through out the globe not just for their impeccable martial and medical skills but for their endless efforts to openly teach, promote and uphold the true spirit of Hung Gar gung fu. For three generations, from master to disciple, father to son, the Lam family has been carrying and passing on the traditional art of Hung Gar gung fu and Chinese Medicine (Dit-Da) with integrity and pride. From the difficult times of Ching Dynasty’s rule of China to modern day Hong Kong, surviving through years of hardship, oppression, political turmoil, war, invasion and rebellions in China, the Lam family has made sure that the essence and the complete art of Hung Gar style was kept alive and preserved for the future generations.
In today’s modern world, Lam Family still upholds and carries forward the true Spirit and Essence of the Hung style with pride, integrity and honor. Thanks to the years of hard work, dedication and effort put in by the great masters and students of the style, Lam Family Hung Kuen has spread far and wide. Today the Lam Family Hung Kuen is practiced in many different countries around the world including, England, US, Canada, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Brazil, France, Holland, Japan, Slovakia, Australia and many more.
Lam Familys Hung Gar legacy begins with Lam Sai Wing who passed the complete system down to his nephew/adopted son Lam Cho. Lam Cho in turn taught the system to all his children. Today his sons Lam Chun Fai and Lam Chun Sing has taken the great resposibilty to pass down Hung Kuen system to the futere generations.With decades of first hand experience, superb Kung fu skills and wisdom under their belt, both sons of Lam Cho are first class teachers. Every year hundreds of students from all corners of the world travel to Hong Kong to train under their guidance. They are constantly invited to teach at seminars, lead work shops and demonstrate their skills all over the world.
