UK Lam Family Hung Kuen

Leon Dogan is the official representative of Lam Family Hung Kuen in United Kingdom. Leon , began his martial arts training at the age of 10 and has since been continuously and actively involved in and training martial arts since the early 1980s. In the early years of his training, Leon had the pleasure of practicing and exploring number of different styles but has dedicated most of his life, time and effort to the practice and promotion of Lam Family Hung Kuen / Hung Gar.

In order to further improve his understanding, refine his skills and advance in the art, Leon left London to live in Hong Kong and to continue his gung fu study under the Lam Family. He trained at Lam Cho sigungs legendary school in Hong Kong under the personal guidance of his sifu, Master Lam Chun Sing. He dedicated most of his time to the practice of Hung gar and was fortunate enough to learn from different members of the Lam family. Leon is forever grateful to Lam family for accepting him into their gung fu family and openly teaching him their family art of Hung Kuen. He is also thankful to all his senior kung fu brothers in Hong Kong for all their guidance and help. While living in Hong Kong, Leon also pursued his interest in Traditional Lion Dance, Chinese culture and medicine.

Leon has spent many years following and learning from Lam Chun Sing sifu and his family and still continues to do so today. He has dedicated his life to the practice and promotion of Lam family Hung Kuen. For the last decade, he has assisted his sifu with teaching Lam Family kung fu to students from all over the world, organizing seminars, workshops and private lessons, promoting and representing the family style in many different countries.

Currently living in London, Leon acts as the UK representative for the Lam Family Hung Kuen and continues to devote much of his time to his family and to the practice, teaching and promotion of Lam Family Hung Kuen in UK and abroad.

In January 2008, after requests from students and encouragment from his sifu, Lam Family and gung fu brothers, Leon opened the UK Lam Family Kung Fu School in Finsbury Park, London.
